The Australian singer-songwriter who first came to prominence as runner-up of the first season of Australian Idol way back in 2003, has released five top-ten albums, including two number-one multi-platinum sellers.

Shannon’s first ten singles all peaked inside the ARIA top ten, including three that reached number one. He is the only Australian male artist in Australian chart history to have ten consecutive top-ten singles. Shannon was born in the Australian town of Orange, New South Wales and grew up in the small town of Condobolin in central western New South Wales.

He is the third and youngest of three children to parents Sharon and Neil Noll and along with brothers Damian and Adam, spent their childhood and teenage years living on the family farm which ran sheep and cattle and grew cereal crops. That is why getting back to the land has been important, so Shannon set about relocating the family to a property in rural NSW where they could stretch their legs on some acreage, keep the family’s horses, grow some veggies, run a few cattle and even getting back into one of Shannon’s first jobs of shearing sheep.

We use the Segway every single day, for quick easy transport or carting feed for the animals, it is the best tool we have on the farm and the great thing about it is at the end of the day you can also have a shedload of fun because it is an absolute weapon when you want to open her up and have a play.
